At the intersection point of Europe, Central Asia, and the Middle East, İzmir is the western gate of Türkiye with many logistic opportunities. With its 16 ports for different cargo types İzmir is a Port City that provides investors a logistic advantage. These ports have 2,6M TEU total container handling capacity and 7.5M TEU capacity is targeted with planned New Çandarlı Port. 24% of Türkiye’s total exports and 19.2% of total imports are made from these ports.

HIGHWAY CONNECTIVITY

İzmir is well connected with other major cities of Türkiye and its neighboring cities thanks to its modern highway infrastructure. While the İstanbul-İzmir Motorway connects logistically İzmir with İstanbul, the largest city in Türkiye, the İzmir-Aydın Highway connects the city with the cities in the South Aegean Region of Türkiye. As a continuation of this road, the İzmir – Antalya Highway which is under construction, is expected to facilitate transportation from İzmir to the southern cities of Türkiye.

RAILWAY CONNECTIVITY

Its inner and outer railway network connects İzmir with surrounding production centers.
