20 Mar 2024 THE NEW CENTER OF ATTRACTION FOR İZMİR INVESTMENT ENVIRONMENT WESTERN ANATOLIA FREE ZONE (BASBAŞ) WAS OPENED
Western Anatolia Free Zone (BASBAŞ), which will make a great contribution to Türkiye’s economy and exports and will be a new center of attraction for investments in İzmir, was opened with a ceremony attended by the Minister of Trade – Prof. Dr. Ömer BOLAT.
BASBAŞ, the 19th free zone of Türkiye and the 3rd of İzmir, with the long-term incentives it offers, its strong infrastructure, its highway connection to Europe via the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge and its logistics advantage thanks to its proximity to important ports in the region, will offer a new investment environment to companies that want to reach global markets rapidly.
BASBAŞ, which has an area of 2.5 million square meters, will provide direct employment to 20 thousand people, will host an annual trade volume of over 4 billion dollars and exports of over 2 billion dollars when it reaches full capacity.
