14 Aug 2024 New Incentives for High Technology and Sustainability
Four programs that will open a new page in the high technology, sustainability and productivity-oriented transformation of our country’s industry were shared with the public.
- HIT-30 Program
With the HIT-30 Program announced in this context, comprehensive support and incentives will be provided to special quality projects in high technology areas that are expected to become more prominent in the economic and social value production of our country. Within the scope of the program, 30+ priority investment topics have been identified in 8 areas in order to build a large capacity and a holistic ecosystem that covers the entire value chains. It is envisaged that a total of USD 30 billion worth of support will be provided for high-tech investments to be made under the HIT-30 program until 2030.

- “Green Transformation” and “Digital Transformation”
In addition to the HIT-30 High Technology Investment Program, the Ministry of Industry and Technology announced the Green Transformation and Digital Transformation Support Programs with the aim of directing investment incentives towards twin transformation with more effective mechanisms. In the program, where enterprises are expected to present roadmaps that will reveal their short, medium and long-term needs in twin transformation, investments in line with the roadmaps will be supported with priority investments. The facilities that realize the supported projects will be given the title of ‘Green Transformation Center’ or ‘Digital Transformation Center’ during the implementation period of the roadmap, and the establishment and institutionalization of the twin transformation culture will be ensured with the green and digital transformation teams that will work in these centers.

- Technology Oriented Industrial Move Program
Finally, the Emerging Innovative Technologies Call of the Technology-Oriented Industrial Move Program, which is currently carried out by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, was shared with the public. The program aims to support investments in 358 technology areas under 6 main headings: circular economy and climate technologies, materials and material processing technologies, biotechnology and smart life technologies, next generation information and communication technologies, electronics and machinery technologies and disaster technologies. The deadline for the call, which can be applied for projects aimed at establishing R&D and production infrastructure in the field of innovative technologies, has been set as September 13, 2024.
