09 Dec 2022 CEO-LEVEL VISIT FROM WORLD LEADING WIND TURBINE PRODUCER NORDEX GROUP TO İZMİR FOR NEW INVESTMENTS
Nordex Service and Technical Training Centre, in İzmir Atatürk Organized Industrial Zone, provides certified training for many stakeholders inside and outside the Nordex Group in Türkiye and Europe. This includes wind turbine equipment training, training simulators and recognized GWO (Global Wind Organization) training providers. On November 3, Nordex Group CEO Jose Luis Blanco, Nordex Group Europe CEO İbrahim Özarslan, CPO Wim Geldhof and Chief Service Officer Miguel Ezpeleta visited the Nordex Service and Technical Training Centre in İzmir.
The Nordex Group delegation visited the TPI Composites Blade Factory in İzmir Menemen Free Zone (İZBAŞ) and the CS Wind Tower Factory in Aliağa Organized Industrial Zone. Nordex’s domestic production of towers, rotor blades, anchorage and generators in Türkiye continues to grow yearly in the Turkish and global markets. During the visit of the Nordex Group delegation, investment talks were held both for the extension of production capacities and for new products for the Turkish and European markets.
For Nordex Group’s global projects, Turkish turbine manufacturers produced and exported 551 towers and 635 blade sets with a total weight of 130,000 tons in Türkiye in 2022.
