Siemens Gamesa Türkiye CEO Ebru Çiçekliyurt mentioned that the company continues to expand İzmir R&D Center, and they will focus on women engineer employment for strengthening gender diversity. Çiçekliyurt added: “Our İzmir team is taking part in our global R&D projects and is working on the technology of 3-5 years future. As a company, we trust the engineering potential in Türkiye. The first and unique wind turbine R & D Center in Türkiye will also transfer enormous know-how to Türkiye. Despite a short period of time after the establishment, we have also started the process of obtaining patents for some technologies developed in our İzmir R&D center. Local manufacturers receive engineering support from our R&D center and benefit from knowledge and technology transfer. The number of localization projects we have successfully completed since the R&D center was opened has reached 12.”
