Nanjing delegation was hosted in İzmir by Aegean Exporters Associations, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and İzmir Development Agency.
Nanjing Mayor Chen Zhichang emphasized that Nanjing has increased the commercial cooperation with Türkiye recently and stated that “Last year, Nanging’s foreign trade volume with Türkiye reached 836 million US dollars, an annual increase of 16.4%. This volume consists of exports of 724 million US dollars, with an annual increase of 10%, and imports of 112 million US dollars, with an annual increase of 87.2%. This is the most important indicator of the growing commercial relations between the two sides.”
During the meeting, presentations were made to the delegation about İzmir, its foreign trade structure and investment environment.
Following the presentations, gifts were presented to Nanjing Municipality Mayor Chen Zhichang and other representatives of the delegation by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cemil Tugay and Aegean Exporters Association Coordinator President Jak Eskinazi.
