06 Feb 2024 TPI İzmir Exceed 3 Thousand Threshold in Wind Blades Production
TPI Composites, Inc. has produced 3.000 wind blades in 2023 in two factories located in Sasalı and Menemen İzmir Free Zone.

In Türkiye, with two factories located in Sasalı and Menemen Izmir Free Zone, the company completed 2023 by producing over 3 thousand wind blades.
TPI Composites İzmir General Manager Gökhan Serdar stated that this production corresponds to an installation of over 4 GW and they achieved a turnover of over half a billion dollars in 2023 in these two factories.
Pointing out that wind energy has a significant potential in Türkiye, Serdar concluded his words as follows: “The reason behind TPI’s decision to invest in Türkiye is primarily the potential for increasing wind installations in Türkiye and Türkiye’s ability to serve Europe. In addition, we particularly chose İzmir due to its wind potential, which has made İzmir known as the capital of wind in Türkiye, and more importantly, İzmir’s human resources dedicated to this field. The wind industry in Türkiye has reached a very significant scale and the biggest opportunity for the coming period is the increasing wind installations in Europe. Europe needs the industry and supply chain in Türkiye to achieve its goals.”
