The MAHLE Group is one of the 30 largest companies in the automotive supply industry worldwide.
In 2008, the new regional warehouse of MAHLE Aftermarket in İzmir, begins operations. Nine months after acquiring a majority stake in the piston and cylinder liner manufacturer Mopisan (known today as MAHLE Mopisan). Since January 1, 2011, MAHLE holds 100 percent of the shares in MAHLE Mopisan.
The company published the information about the investment in their web site as below.
“In the future, the location in İzmir will serve markets in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Iraq, Jordan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Syria, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Türkiye itself. The scope of supply includes the entire MAHLE Aftermarket assortment, with pistons, piston rings, cylinder liners, assemblies, bearings, valves and valve train components, as well as oil, air, fuel, and cabin air filters. Sales, logistics, technical service, and all other support functions in İzmir have been intensively trained in preparation for the start of operation.
The newly built warehouse has 12,000 sqm of floor space, and was built in three months.
MAHLE expects to see significant growth in the region as a result of this increased presence and reduced lead times.
